NCAA March Madness
March Madness has started and there are already been some crazy things happening. Last night University of New Orleans player tried to choke his own teammate in a 1 point loss to Mount Saint Mary's. This could be a crazy tournament we have o our habds and if you would like to see my tournament bracket feel free to join my Tournament Challenge Group Alex Mesa Sports. I believe that Gonzaga is the worst 1 seeded team in NCAA History I belive the 4 number one seeds should've been Villanova, North Carolina, Duke, and Arizona and UCLA as a 2 seed not a 3 seed. The committe did not respect any of the head to head matchups that were made but di respect the strength of the conferences each of the teams were coming from. I believe UCLA could go far if they consistantly score points each and every game as they are averaging 90.4 points a game as a team. Duke has a very strong team this year despite having some issuses with Grayson Allen they are the best all around team in this tournament in my opinion. Arizona is also a good team that has taken down strong competition in the Pac 12 tournament and could go a long way. Kansa, I don't think Kansas was deserving of the 1 seed because of the loses they have had like they got upset against TCU I feel they are a team that could be easily upset in the 2nd round by a decent Miami Hurricane team.

New England Patriots Free Agency Moves
The New England Patriots have signed former Buffalo Bills cornerback Stephon Gilmore. This means that it could be the end of an era for the Super Bowl saving cornerback Malcolm Butler. The Patriots have reportedly have been trying to get wide reciever Kenny Britt in exchange for Malcolm Butler which would suit the Patriots who are in need of another weapon for superstar quarterback Tom Brady. If Tom Brady doesn't have a declining season like Peyton Manning before his retirement this could be yet another Super Bowl contending Patriots team. With Gilmore joining the Patriots they officially have a decent No.1 Cornerback at a position that they struggled in too cover star wide recievers like Julio Jones. This is a team that I believe even Mark Whalberg could be proud of as the Patriots front office is putting the pieces of the puzzle together too win back to back Super Bowl titles.

Atlantic Sun Championship Game FGCU vs North Florida
The Atlantic Sun Championship game is between Fgcu and North Florida which I believe will be a FGCU blowout and here is why I think so. North Florida's defense has not been the greatest all year especially in the paint. North Florida will not be able to stop Brandon Goodwin who has had a great year averaging 18.2pts per game. People may say the Atlantic Sun is not a hard conference but the only reason it's not competative is because FGCU has been dominating it the past couple of years. I feel that FGCU has officially proved they need to be moved up into a conference for example like the ACC. FGCU only has 2 losses in coference play and will not be any better if they don't have better competition. But back to my prediction North Florida's offense will not be able to produce enough points to compete with the high powered Eagle offense amd it will be a large margin of victory for the FGCU Eagles as they punch in their ticket to the big dance... The NCAA Tournament.

Tampa Bay Lightning Trade Deadline
The Tampa Bay Lightning are making moves towards the NHL Trade Deadline but could it be moves in the wrong direction? The Lightning have trading goalie and pending unrestricted free agent Ben Bishop to the LA Kings for Peter Budaj and a prospect. They also traded F Brian Boyle to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Could Tyler Johnson be next? I honestly feel that the Lightning should be buyers not sellers in this year's trade deadline as they are below average this year after making the Eastern Conference Finals last year and the Stanley Cup Finals the year before. In my opinion GM Steve Yzerman is on the hotseat and won't get off it unless he makes a big move as a buyer during this year's trade deadline. Many injuries have also hurt the Lightning with Steven Stamkos out and Callahan done for the year it looks like this might be just the start of a decline for this Tampa Bay Lightning team.

The Miami Heat Weekend Games
The Miami Heat have had a pair of games this weekend and won both against the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers. In the Heat's first game on Saturday night against the Hawks they had a season high 17 3 pointers made. The amazing duo of Dragic and Waiters got a combined point total of 31 points and 13 assists. Getting them a 108-90 win in their first game back from the all star break. In the Heat's second game back from the All Star break the duo had another great game combining for 43 points and 7 assists giving them a 113-95 win and a 2 game win streak since the All Star break. This is a team who is in the 9th spot in the Eastern conference trying to overtake the Detriot Pistons for the 8th spot in the playoffs. The Pistons next game is against the Boston Celtics where the the Celtics are favored so if the Heat can win one they should be able to get into that 8th spot.

Demarcus Cousins traded to the Pelican
The Sacramento Kings have aggreed to trade Demarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the New Orleans Pelicans for rookie shooting guard Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and a 2017 first round pick and a 2017 second rounder. This means many things for both teams. With the new CBA changing the ways the palyers can now sign an extension up to 5 years one year until his contract expires. Demarcus could be looing for big money as in free agency he can score a deal up to $209 million for 5 years but he could only do that with the Kings making him uneligible for the big money he was hoping for. With the Pelicans GM on the hot seat this move could mean alot for him and his place in the franchise.

Can Anyone Stop the Washington Capitals
The Washongton Capitals are arguably hockey's hottest team right now. Alex Ovechkin is leading the team with 26 goals this season as the Capitals are currently on a 6 game win streak entering its bye week. It will be interesting to see how they do coming out of it, They also recently swapped conditional picks to acquire Kings D Tom Gilbert who could be a pretty good addition to the team.
Another team that has been hot of late in the NHL are the Minnesota Wild. The Wild are ranked 4th as a team in goals per game yet they don't have an individual who's top 15 in scoring. This year has been a good one so far for the Wild you are on track for their 1st ever Stanley Cup in franchise history.
