Florida Panthers Home Opener vs Lightning

The Florida Panthers win their home opener vs the Tampa Bay Lightning and find themselves 1-1-0 on the season. Defenseman Aaron Ekblad had a good 2nd and 3rd period after struggling in the 1st. The Panthers youthful team they assembled in the offseason has shown great progress and Vincent Trocheck has really shown up to play. In my opinion the Florida Panthers could have picked up more defensemen to help out in the back since Aaron Ekblad has a injury history his status is always in doubt. The Florida Panthers have started off well this season and had a packed stadium tonight and hopefully that can continue throught the season as our Miami fanbase doesn't have the best reputation
