The Tampa Bay Lightning are making moves towards the NHL Trade Deadline but could it be moves in the wrong direction? The Lightning have trading goalie and pending unrestricted free agent Ben Bishop to the LA Kings for Peter Budaj and a prospect. They also traded F Brian Boyle to the Toronto Maple Leafs. Could Tyler Johnson be next? I honestly feel that the Lightning should be buyers not sellers in this year's trade deadline as they are below average this year after making the Eastern Conference Finals last year and the Stanley Cup Finals the year before. In my opinion GM Steve Yzerman is on the hotseat and won't get off it unless he makes a big move as a buyer during this year's trade deadline. Many injuries have also hurt the Lightning with Steven Stamkos out and Callahan done for the year it looks like this might be just the start of a decline for this Tampa Bay Lightning team.

The Miami Heat Weekend Games
The Miami Heat have had a pair of games this weekend and won both against the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers. In the Heat's first game on Saturday night against the Hawks they had a season high 17 3 pointers made. The amazing duo of Dragic and Waiters got a combined point total of 31 points and 13 assists. Getting them a 108-90 win in their first game back from the all star break. In the Heat's second game back from the All Star break the duo had another great game combining for 43 points and 7 assists giving them a 113-95 win and a 2 game win streak since the All Star break. This is a team who is in the 9th spot in the Eastern conference trying to overtake the Detriot Pistons for the 8th spot in the playoffs. The Pistons next game is against the Boston Celtics where the the Celtics are favored so if the Heat can win one they should be able to get into that 8th spot.

Demarcus Cousins traded to the Pelican
The Sacramento Kings have aggreed to trade Demarcus Cousins and Omri Casspi to the New Orleans Pelicans for rookie shooting guard Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway and a 2017 first round pick and a 2017 second rounder. This means many things for both teams. With the new CBA changing the ways the palyers can now sign an extension up to 5 years one year until his contract expires. Demarcus could be looing for big money as in free agency he can score a deal up to $209 million for 5 years but he could only do that with the Kings making him uneligible for the big money he was hoping for. With the Pelicans GM on the hot seat this move could mean alot for him and his place in the franchise.

Can Anyone Stop the Washington Capitals
The Washongton Capitals are arguably hockey's hottest team right now. Alex Ovechkin is leading the team with 26 goals this season as the Capitals are currently on a 6 game win streak entering its bye week. It will be interesting to see how they do coming out of it, They also recently swapped conditional picks to acquire Kings D Tom Gilbert who could be a pretty good addition to the team.
Another team that has been hot of late in the NHL are the Minnesota Wild. The Wild are ranked 4th as a team in goals per game yet they don't have an individual who's top 15 in scoring. This year has been a good one so far for the Wild you are on track for their 1st ever Stanley Cup in franchise history.

NBA Power Rankings
With Valentine's Day coming up let's find out who the NBA experts love and hate in the new NBA Power Ranking. The Nets are ranked at number 30 witha 9-45 record. There is alot going on with this team like only having one main man on the team in Brook Lopez and they are currently on a 12 game losing streak and have won 1 game in their last 24 contests. At the top still remains the Golden State Warriors who crushed Kd's old team in KD's return to OKC even though Russ did get a triple double. This is a streaking team that there are very few teams who can beat. One of the biggest NBA lovers though the Miami Heat moving up to number 10 after losing to the 76ers ending a 13 game win streak which was probably one of the greatest you will see al season. Well that is my review of the NBA Power Rankings thank you all for reading my blog and enjoy the rest of your night

Miami Heat Win Streak
The Miami Heat's winning streak comes to an end tonight as they lost to the Philadelphia 76ers. The final score was 117-109 even with the Heat's leading scorer being Goran Dragic with 30 points but they were missing their 2nd leading scorer in Dion Waiters due to injury. The Heat did put up a fight against a Philadelphia team who was missing Joel Embiid and their leading scorer being Robert Covington with only 19 points. Overall it was a hard faught game by a Miami Heat team who has gone on a great run on this 13 game win streak.

Head Coaching Changes Around The NFL
The San Francisco 49er have hired ex Falcons Offensive Coordinator Kyle Shanahan to be their head coach. Replacing him in Atlanta will be former Alabama Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Steve Sarkisian. The Atlanta Falcons defensive coordinator Richard Smith resigned from his role as the defensive coordinator after there embarassing defensive collapse against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51.
