Jay Cutler signs 1 yr Contract with Miami

Jay Cutler signed a 1yr $10M deal with the Miami Dolphins. The reactions of most reporters are that the Dolphins made a desperate move that will cost them $10M. But in my opinion it was a great move by Dolphins HC Adam Gase considering that Matt Moore did not play well in place of Tannehill last year. This addition makes the Miami Dolphins look scary and could give the Patriots a run for their money in the AFC East. Jay Cutler is only 34 so if he has a good year this year keep in mind it is the last season of Ryan Tannehill's contract so he might not be resigned.

Cutler is very familiar with the offensive system since Adam Gase was his OC in Chicago when he had the best year of his career in 2015. But a question could be the respect that is given to Cutler by teammates as Matt Moore is a locker room favorite in Miami but in the end football is a buissness... a buissness of winning football games.

Miami Dolphins: With Tannehill Down Who's The Next Man Up?

Miami Dolphins QB Ryan Tannehill reinjured his left knee in a non-contact injury in training camp Thursday. There are many options noting that there was no structural damage to the knee. He could undergo full reconstructive ACL surgery which would end his season or do 6 weeks of rehab and be back on the field by Week 2-3 of the regular season. Tannehill is getting a second opinion on his injury.

But now the main question is who steps in at starting QB. Next up on the depth chart is Matt Moore but did not have good outings last year filling in for Tannehill. Head Coach Adam Gase did state "Right now, Matt is our quarterback." But other options are retired QB Jay Cutler who worked with Adam Gase in Chicago or Former 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick as Adam Gase almost took the 49ers coaching job.
